Music Society 2008 instrumental Competition |
The 32nd Annual Carmel Music Society Competition will be open to California, Oregon and Washington State residents or students, aged between 18 and 30.
The 2008 competition will provide an opportunity for young instrumentalists across Western States to compete for a grand prize of $5,000, which includes an opportunity to perform in May 2009 in the subscription series. The second place winner will receive $2,000 and the third prize is $1,500. Other finalists will each receive $500.
The competition will take place at Sunset Center in Carmel on Saturday, May 10th 2008 during the day, and the three prizewinners will perform their winning programs in an evening concert on the same day. The daytime auditions and evening concert are open to the public and are free.
