Program
A modern player with a signature sound and distinctive style, American cellist Mark Kosower embodies the international concept of the complete musician. He was a top prize winner in both the Rostropovich and Pablo Casals International Cello competitions. He has established a distinguished career as concerto soloist with symphony orchestras, in solo recitals, as an admired and sought-after chamber musician, and as a respected scholar and teacher. Formerly solo cellist of the Bamberg Symphony in Germany, he is now Principal Cello of The Cleveland Orchestra. His cello master classes at Hidden Valley Music Seminars in Carmel, California each summer draw professional-level participants from across the continent.
