A modern player with a signature sound and distinctive style, American cellist Mark Kosower embodies the international concept of the complete musician. He was a top prize winner in both the Rostropovich and Pablo Casals International Cello competitions. He has established a distinguished career as concerto soloist with symphony orchestras, in solo recitals, as an admired and sought-after chamber musician, and as a respected scholar and teacher. Formerly solo cellist of the Bamberg Symphony in Germany, he is now Principal Cello of The Cleveland Orchestra.
